Our sponsor bank is changing.

BrightFi is constantly seeking to improve our products and services to better serve our customer’s needs.

One way we are doing that is by changing the sponsor bank we use. This will unlock a ton of new features and greater flexibility in your account - all in the same, easy to use app!

+ What will change?
A few important things:

• We're moving from a prepaid card to a more powerful debit card.

• Customers will soon be able to sign up using Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITINs) as well as Mexican Consular IDs

• Mobile check deposit in app

• Increased spending power

• No maximum account balance

...and more exciting features to come!

+ What does this mean for me?
On Tuesday, October 5th your account with Metropolitan Commercial Bank will be closed..

Please make sure to remove any funds in your account before this date.

To avoid any disruption any future deposits and payments, we recommend canceling any recurring payments, direct depositor recurring debit card payments. Any transactions due to be processed after October 5th will be declined. You can easily setup Bill Payment, Direct Deposits and recurring payments again once you have signed up for your new account. + How do I remove my funds?
Removing your funds from your BrightFi account is easy! You can either choose to use:  

• ATM cash withdrawal — use the “Find ATM” in the app or find your nearest ATM here.
• Send money to another bank account using Paypal, Moneygram or similar services. All you need is the routing and account number of the receiving account.
• If for some reason you are unable to do so before this date, don’t worry, we got your back! Any remaining funds will be issued to you by check to the address associated to your account.
+ How do I get access to the new BrightFi features?
We are so excited to share all the new awesome features with you, right from the comfort of your mobile device!

All you have to do is apply for an account in the BrightFi mobile app the same way you did before. Once approved, you will receive a new BrightFi Mastercard debit card issued by Sterling National Bank and be on your way to better banking!
+ How can I fund my new account?
Funding your new account couldn’t be easier!

HERE ARE A FEW WAYS TO DO IT:

• Deposit a check using the Mobile Check Deposit feature in the app.
• Fill out the Direct Deposit form in the ‘Account Details’ view and give to your employer.
• Transfer funds from your existing bank account to your BrightFi account, using the account and routing numbers found on the Direct Deposit form.
